We are committed to establishing and maintaining a diverse and inclusive community that collectively supports our mission to connect the people, places, and communities of the Heritage Area through preservation, conservation, and educational initiatives that protect and promote the natural, cultural, and historical resources of the region.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We acknowledge that Indigenous peoples and nations, including the Nipmuck, Massachusett, and Penacook, have stewarded, through generations, the lands and waterways that comprise the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. We honor and respect their enduring legacy in the region.
Management Plan
In July 2015, the Secretary of the Interior approved our management plan outlining how the Heritage Area works with partners to preserve, protect, and interpret the region’s natural, cultural, and historical resources for future generations. Serving as a roadmap for fulfilling the mission and vision of the Heritage Area, the Management Plan guides our work.
