SUMMARY:West Concord Art Loop
DESCRIPTION:The second annual West Concord Art Loop is a temporary public art initiative that transforms sidewalks in West Concord village into an accessible\, outdoor gallery featuring 130 original artworks by local artists of all ages and experience levels. Using custom\, weather-resistant pavement decals installed throughout the retail district\, the project encourages pedestrian exploration across downtown West Concord. \nLEARN MORE ABOUT THE WEST CONCORD ART LOOP! \nDATE: The installation will run from mid-May to mid-November\, with a special ribbon-cutting and Art Loop scavenger hunt with prizes on Spring Into West Concord Junction Day\, May 16 from 10 AM  to 3 PM. \nTIME: Dawn to Dusk \nLOCATION: Decals will be placed on both sides of Commonwealth Avenue from Main Street to Laws Brook Road. The Art Loop may be started at any point along the route\, but it is recommended to begin at the West Concord Train Station\, 20 Commonwealth Avenue\, Concord\, MA 01742. \nACCESS: The West Concord Art Loop is ADA compliant. SUMMARY:West Concord Shines - Treasure Hunt
DESCRIPTION:The Treasure Hunt will take place for two weeks leading up to West Concord’s spring festival\, Spring into West Concord\, on May 16th. \nApproximately 30 businesses will receive lanterns which have been made by local artists. Each lantern will be numbered and hang in a window. People can pick up game sheets with the names of the businesses\, which they match with the numbers on the lanterns. Those who complete the sheets can hand them in and be entered into a raffle. \nTypically about 20 local businesses donate prizes for the raffle. The purpose of the game is to bring people into the business district and have them explore. This will be our 5th year heading up a game.
