SUMMARY:Central Mass Railroad to Central Mass Rail Trail
DESCRIPTION:This is a two part program including the history of the short-lived Central Mass Railroad that ran from North Station in Boston to Northampton and also about how communities all along the way are converting their sections of the 104-mile railroad into a connected rail trail. This program will focus on the Clinton section that includes the 1\,100-foot long tunnel that will be a true highlight and central part of the Mass Central Rail Trail when completed. \nSpecial Instructions: Join us at 6:30 for discussion and snacks. Program starts at 7pm. Space is limited to 75. \n  \nThis program is offered by the Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature\, Culture & History\, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places\, objects\, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures programs are free and open to the public. Click to discover more Hidden Treasures!
