In its day, this building was very important to a special group of people. The work of these people affects us every day. Find out about places in Lancaster with connections to the Shakers, about their curious lives, and the Shaker inventions that we use every day.<\/p>\n<p>All Lancaster History Month events will take place in the Dexter Room at Thayer Memorial Library, located at 717 Main Street, Lancaster. Patrons are welcome to use the handicap parking spaces both in front of and behind the library. Each room of the building is ADA compliant; we have an elevator and automatic doors.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thayermemoriallibrary.assabetinteractive.com\/calendar\/lancasters-shaker-population\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-13428\" src=\"https:\/\/freedomsway.org\/staging\/6553\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Hidden-Treasures_logo_transparent-background.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"146\" \/><em>This program is offered by <a href=\"https:\/\/thayermemoriallibrary.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thayer Memorial Library<\/a> as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/freedomsway.org\/staging\/6553\/hidden-treasures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture &amp; History<\/a>, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom&#8217;s Way National Heritage Area.
