An annual commemorative ceremony by the Lincoln Minute Men has been conducted at their graves for more than fifty years.<\/p>\n<p>The Company assembles with a contingent of British soldiers and invited dignitaries at Pierce House, and with fifes, drums, and bagpipes playing, we march across fields and along historic paths to the burial ground, where we enter with muffled drums and fifes playing a Revolutionary funeral march. We are joined for the ceremony by a representative from the British Consulate in Boston.<\/p>\n<p>LMM members present dramatic narratives; soldiers provide commemorative volleys; musicians play solemn laments. Two children assist the LMM Captain in placing flags at Patriots\u2019 graves. British soldiers and the British Consulate\u2019s representative place a wreath at the British monument.
