Its earliest wooden markers \u2014 including the graves of twenty colonists who died in a 1694 Abenaki raid \u2014 no longer exist, but headstones date back to 1704. At least 37 Revolutionary War Patriots are buried here, including Sarah Hartwell Shattuck, who served as the lieutenant for <a href=\"https:\/\/freedomsway.org\/staging\/6553\/story\/prudence-cummings-wright\/\">Prudence Cummings Wright<\/a> when the townswomen captured a British informant at Jewett\u2019s Bridge.
