Is it true that our 1700’s town meeting house mysteriously burned down one night in 1915? What’s the story of the beloved and iconic Florence Barnaby? Do you mean to tell me that Brookline once had train service\, a ski hill\, multiple grocery stores\, a motor speedway\, a town hearse and that Lake Potanipo ice was sold in Boston? \nOn January 20\, 9 AM to 2 PM\, the Brookline Historical Society at 17 Meetinghouse Hill Road will hold an open house for the public. Refreshments will be served. Come and tour the BHS’s Barnaby House and barn. Learn about our town’s colorful heritage.
