SUMMARY:Isaac Davis Trail March
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, on the Monday of Patriots’ Day weekend\, the Acton Minutemen recreate the famous march to Concord over the remnants of the original trail that Captain Isaac Davis and his men traveled on that fateful day\, referred to by stone markers labeled “Line of March\, April 19\, 1775”. Click here to learn more about this story. \nWe start off at the Isaac Davis homestead at 39 Hayward Rd. in Acton at 5:50am\, where we hold a short ceremony of remembrance. From there\, we head to Acton Center\, arriving about 6:20am at the monument where Isaac Davis\, Abner Hosmer\, and James Hayward are buried\, and have another short remembrance ceremony. From there we march to Concord over the original route (as closely as possible)\, arriving at the Old North Bridge about 9:00\, where we will reenact the original battle that took place there\, along with British reenactor units. \nThe public is encouraged to join us as we march the trail from Acton to Concord. It is an experience that you and your family will never forget. Join in the history\, in the fun\, and in the tradition. Make this event a regular tradition in your family and keep the “life” in living history!! \nImage courtesy of jrcovert via Wikimedia Commons

SUMMARY:Robbins' Ride Reenactment
DESCRIPTION:Join the Acton Minutemen as they commemorate the heroic ride of the thirteen year old son of Captain Joseph Robbins\, one of Acton’s militia leaders\, in the early morning hours of April 19th\, 1775. Click here to learn more about this story! \nCeremonies and fire musket vollies are held at each of the four stops\, and at the Faulkner Homestead in South Acton\, Faulkner himself stumbles out in his nightclothes and manages (hopefully) to fire his musket 3 times to spread the alarm to his troops\, whereupon the volley is echoed by another musket some distance away\, followed by yet another even further off\, demonstrating how the alarm was spread across town. \nPlease  join us for this annual event held on the Sunday of Patriots’ Day weekend! Here is the preliminary schedule of the stops the rider makes: \n5:00 pm at the Robbins’ Homesite – soccer fields at bottom of Concord Road \n5:20 at the Isaac Davis Homestead – 39 Hayward Road \n5:40 at the Faulkner Homestead – 5 High Street in So. Acton (corner of Rte. 27) \n5:55 at the Liberty Tree Farm – 24 Liberty Street\, also in So. Acton \nClick here to view a map of the route. \nImage courtesy of Anne Forbes\, Iron Work Farm
