After hours on the march under fire from ever increasing numbers of colonial militia, weary British troops lightened their load by discarding items, such as this Royal Artillery Pouch. This pouch was used to carry priming quills and tools, and once these were spent, it was no longer needed.
Found by the roadside, it was later refashioned for use by a thrifty Provincial soldier. Learn more: Menotomy: Road to Revolution.
