Encompassing nearly 2,600 acres, Willard Brook State Forest offers the character and feeling of forests usually found much farther west in the state, with a tumbling brook and quick water amid groves of classic New England woods. Nineteen campsites are located in a wooded campground near Damon Pond.
Abutting Pearl Hill State Park, a wide variety of activities are offered including freshwater swimming, walking, hiking, birding, fishing, horseback riding, and winter trail sports. These two areas are connected by the 3.5-mile Friends’ Trail.
