The fields of Washburn’s Windy Hill Orchard are surrounded by the scenic Wapack ridgeline, which faithfully flames into color each autumn. Fortunately for Washburn’s, autumn is their season. The sprawling Mason Road property specializes in both fall treats and fall recreation in Greenville, New Hampshire.
The 7-acre apple orchard is the star of the show, providing visitors the opportunity to pick their own McIntosh, Cortland, Macoun, and Red Delicious apples. But there is also an expansive pumpkin patch, a 5-acre corn maze, and free hay rides.
Inside the iconic red barn and store, visitors will find a variety of treats, from apple cider, and donuts to soft serve ice cream and gifts. And while a New England fall might be too cold for some to crave ice cream, Washburn’s Windy Hill Orchard keeps the soft serve flowing and the festivities going until Halloween each year.
