Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in Princeton, Massachusetts, Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary is a former farmstead. Historic buildings and barns are still in use today for educational programming. Resident sheep graze its pastures. Spectacular scenic overlooks offer expansive views. A diverse population of wildlife can be found throughout the woodlands, wetlands and meadows.

Wachusett Meadow covers 1,124 acres with thirteen miles of universally accessible trails. Benches exist along many of the trails. Trails traverse unique landscape features including Brown Hill Summit, Glacial Boulder, ancient trees and beaver ponds. Short or extending hiking options exist, along with connections to Wachusett Mountain State Reservation and the Midstate Trail.

Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuary is owned and stewarded by Mass Audubon.
