Tully Farms

446 Pleasant St, Dunstable, MA

In 2022, Tully Farms celebrated its 150th anniversary. This sixth-generation dairy was purchased by Henry and Mary Tully in 1872 and continued to expand with each generation. Henry and Mary’s son Charles E. Tully purchased the 40-acre Drake property up the street in 1901. In 1919, he bought the 200-acre Rideout Farm on Fletcher St, and in 1940, he and his son George bought the 120-acre Lawrence Farm. Tully Farms now stretches some 400 acres across the towns of Dunstable and Pepperell. Massachusetts.

Tully Farms Inc. was officially formed by George Tully, his son Charles W. Tully, and his brother Eugene Tully in 1970. George’s grandson Charles W. Jr., the farm’s current president, joined the family business after graduating from the University of New Hampshire. He runs the farm alongside his wife Jennifer and children. Kristina, Erin, Steven, and Jacob.

The farm retains its traditional feel, and the upright silos dating back to 1958 have become a local landmark. In 2006, the family repurchased and restored “Old Smokey,” the first rubber-wheeled tractor purchased by the farm in 1939. In 1999, they added the current barn and milking parlor.

That barn is home to 250 Holstein cattle. The farm offers glass bottle milk pasteurized through vat pasteurization, which they sell on a home delivery route (servicing Dunstable and surrounding communities) and in their Pleasant Street store. The store also sells Tully’s own flavored milk, ice cream, ice tea, and lemonade alongside a selection of local fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and gourmet foods.
