Tucked into a scenic bend in Ashburnham’s Ashby Road, Timberlost Farm is a family-owned farm specializing in Hereford Beef cattle. Owners Candy and Rich Wright have run the 130-acre farm since 1976. The property was formerly a dairy farm and the original farmhouse on the property dates back to 1754.
Timberlost Farm beef is natural and pasture-raised, with no hormones or additives. They use rotational grazing methods to allow their soil to regenerate. Beef is typically aged 18-20 months and sold as halves or quarters in the fall or winter. Orders are highly customizable — patrons select the thickness of steaks and the poundage of roasts. Meat is also available through a CSA program in partnership with Timberhaven Farm in Warwick, or at the seasonal Ashburnham Farmers Market.
There are no public offerings at the farm, but visitors can catch a glimpse of the cows and the friendly herding Bernese Mountain dogs on a scenic drive-by.
