The Umbrella Arts Center enriches lives and builds a vibrant and inclusive community through the arts by promoting creativity, learning, personal growth, and cultural exchange through accessible arts education programs, performing and visual arts presentations, and community collaborations.
Housed within the former Emerson School, the first steel-beamed structure in Concord, Massachusetts, The Umbrella provides studio space for more than fifty artists, three galleries of exhibition space, and two theater spaces for the performing arts. It sponsors community arts initiatives, outdoor art installations, and regional celebrations, including an Arts & Environment program, as well as classes and workshops for children and adults, arts summer camps and vacation week programs for youth.
