The Sudbury Revolutionary Cemetery is located within the Sudbury Center Historic District. The burial ground was first established with a town meeting vote in 1716. An estimated 47 Revolutionary War soldiers are interred in the cemetery, including two men who were killed at the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19th, 1775. Ezekiel Howe, the owner of the Wayside Inn and the Colonel of the Sudbury Militia and Minute Companies is another notable Patriot buried here. Other American Revolution soldiers are interred at the Sudbury North Cemetery and the Sudbury Old Town Cemetery.
