Stillman’s Farm and Greenhouses in Lancaster is an extension of the Stillman’s Farm in New Braintree. The operation is family owned by Glenn Stillman and his wife Genevieve. Glenn was raised on a dairy farm in nearby Lunenburg. At an early age, he started his own business selling plants and produce. Glenn purchased the historic Lancaster farm in 1991. In 1993, he married Genevieve, and the couple got to work renovating the c.1750 house and 1825 farmhouse.
The Stillman family was instrumental in founding the Boston Public Market, where customers can shop for local, farm-grown food throughout the year. Stillman’s Farm sells produce at Boston and Worcester farmers markets and at their Lancaster CSA and farmstand.
The oldest Stillman children, Kate and Curtis, caught the agriculture bug at an early age and have gone on to start farms of their own, while the younger children, Reid and Faith, help run farmers’ markets and other daily operations.
