Paul Revere Capture Site

Minute Man National Historical Park

Paul Revere, along with fellow riders William Dawes and Dr. Samuel Prescott, were apprehended by a patrol of British officers at this site. Revere was detained, questioned, and released several hours later. Dawes turned around and escaped and Prescott made it through to Concord.

Located within Minute Man National Historical Park along the Battle Road Byway in Lincoln, the spot where Revere was captured is marked with a circular, stone memorial. A plaque and informational panels educate visitors about the midnight riders and Paul Revere’s Capture.

The Paul Revere Capture Site includes a parking area for visitors and features informational panels to educate visitors about the midnight riders and Paul Revere’s capture.
