Housed in the repurposed 1904 Munroe Elementary School, Munroe Center for the Arts provides affordable studio space to local artists, in addition to exhibit and performance spaces. Classes and workshops are offered in music, dance, theater, and visual arts.

Serving as a hub for Lexington’s art community, Munroe Center for the Arts’ mission is to inspire, engage, and nurture students, artists, audiences, and the community in their creative explorations. To achieve this, it supports community initiatives including Lexington’s Patriots’ Day parade, Artwalk community art exhibits, and collaborations with local organizations such as LexPride and Ascentria Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Program.
