Minuteman Park

132 Townsend Street, Pepperell, MA

Minuteman Park in Pepperell, Massachusetts commemorates the local minute men that were summoned from this spot at the opening battles of the American Revolution on April 19, 1775. This half-acre property is owned by the Prudence Wright Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolutionary and is open to the public from dawn to dusk.

Within the park sits a large boulder with an historical bronze tablet (pictured below) that was dedicated on July 26, 1926 by the Prudence Wright Chapter, NSDAR. The park, boulder, and bronze tablet serve the purpose of protecting, preserving and interpreting the significant historic sites, landscapes, events and ideas embodied by these events of the American Revolution.
