Marrett and Nathan Munroe House

1906 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA

Built in 1729, this historic home was a ‘witness’ to the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775. It was the home of local selectman Marrett Munroe, whose wife, Deliverance, was sister of John Parker, Captain of the Militia on that day. Marrett’s son, Nathan, was a minute man who took part in the battle. His wife, Elizabeth, was the sister of neighbor Jonathan Harrington, who was killed in the battle.

The Marrett and Nathan Munroe House is privately owned.
