Sited outside the Munroe Tavern, the memorial commemorates John Raymond. Although unarmed, Raymond, a member of Captain Parker’s Company was killed by a British redcoat as he exited the tavern. The tenth citizen killed in Lexington on April 19, 1775, he left behind a wife and five children.
