Joey and Kirby Baldic are the “J & K” behind Good Thyme Farm in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. They bought the 1850 colonial and surrounding land on Fitchburg Road in 2015. By 2016, they had established the property as a working farm.
While the Baldics both work non-agricultural day jobs, they’ve managed to maintain a fully-fledged farm with the help of their families. Their seasonal self-service farmstand is typically open June-October with vegetables, eggs, local meats, farm products, flowers, and local artisan goods. The farm also runs a CSA program. Patrons can order online and pick up goods during the off-season.
The farm is perhaps best known for its eggs, which come from diverse, grain-fed, free-range chickens. Good Thyme’s produce offerings include tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, beans, greens, squash, and more. All products are raised using ethical, natural, and sustainable methods.
