Harvard’s Center Cemetery

Massachusetts Avenue (Route 111), Harvard, MA

Located near the intersection of Route 110 and Route 111, the Harvard Center Cemetery (also known as the Old Cemetery) is the final resting place for 2,311 individuals, beginning with the interment of Elizabeth Willard in 1733. In the years that followed, at least 52 Patriots of the American Revolution were laid to rest in this four-acre site. Other Patriots are buried at the Harvard Shaker Burying Ground (also known as Harvard Shakers Cemetery or Lollipop Cemetery). The known Patriots buried across Harvard include:
