Divided into culinary, medicinal, and aromatic/household sections, the Hancock-Clarke House Herb Garden features 42 carefully researched traditional 18th century herb species. An heirloom Roxbury Russet apple tree is planted at the rear of the house.
The Hancock-Clarke House is a property of the Lexington Historical Society. The garden is maintained April through November by the Lexington Field & Garden Club’s Morning Study Group, which began the project over 50 years ago.
