Groton Town Common

The Town Common, found in the heart of this quintessential New England community, is sited in front of the First Parish Church, constructed in 1755 as Groton‘s fourth meeting house. The town clock, installed in 1809, and the 1819 Paul Revere bell are still in service. Groton Public Library faces the Common from across the street. It was at this very spot in April 1775, the Minutemen assembled before heading to the Battle in Concord and Lexington.
