Flat Rock Wildlife Sanctuary

581 Ashburnham Hill Rd, Fitchburg, MA

Minutes from downtown Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the sounds of the city give way to the sounds of songbirds and leaves. This 326-acre wooded area, comprised of hemlock forest and mixed hardwoods, provides a much-needed habitat for species needing a larger territory such as fisher, coyote and red fox, with occasional visits from black bear and bobcat.

Six miles of trails are augmented by adjacent properties with more trails owned by North County Land Trust and Fitchburg Water Department.
