Ferjulian’s Farm

7 Lewis Street, Hudson, MA

The only working farm in Hudson, Massachusetts, Ferjulian’s has been in business for more than 80 years. The farm began in 1941 when Manouel Ferjulian, an Armenian immigrant, purchased a 65-acre orchard atop Hudson’s Gospel Hill. Manouel tended the orchards alongside his wife Marie and their three children. Soon, they were expanding the orchards and selling apples to local markets.

Upon Manouel’s death in 1963, his son Manouel Vincent took over the family business. It was there he met his wife, Alice, who was visiting from her home country of Greece to pick apples on the farm. Together, they expanded the business to include a greenhouse and the farmstand that still remains today. They also began raising turkeys, fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Manouel Vincent’s son Eric grew up helping out on the farm. When Manouel Vincent passed away in 2010, Eric stepped into the role of grower, buyer, and organizer of the farm. His wife Erin has run the store and greenhouse since 1986.

Eric and Erin’s children and their partners have also joined the family business, helping to farm, bake, market, and grow flowers.

Visitors to the farm and store can purchase apples, squash, corn, and a variety of other fruits and vegetables. There is also a flower cutting garden where guests can cut and create their own floral arrangements.
