David Lamson Way

David Lamson Way, Arlington, MA

Arlington‘s David Lamson Way, originally named Railroad Avenue, was renamed in the 1990s to honor David Lamson, an early hero of color during the Revolutionary War. The older men who captured Lord Percy’s supply train on April 19, 1775 designated Lamson to lead them. His leadership led to one of the first victories by the colonists on that day.
