Captain William Smith House

Minute Man National Historical Park

The Captain William Smith House, built in the late 1600s, is one of witness houses located along the Battle Road Trail in Minute Man National Historical Park. It was here that Smith, captain of the Lincoln Minute Men, his wife and four children, and an enslaved person lived in 1775. Captain Smith was the brother of Abigail Smith Adams, wife of John Adams, second president of the United States.
