Established in 1898, the Prudence Wright Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the America Revolution is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children.
Members of the organization must be a lineal descendant from a patriot of the American Revolution and any woman, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove this lineage is eligible to join.
The chapter is named for patriot, soldier and hero, Prudence Cummings Wright defied traditional gender roles to protect her town during the American Revolution.
