In 1993 a small group of citizens from Pepperell, Massachusetts organized the Nashoba Conservation Trust with a goal of creating open space, conserving conservation easements, working with land owners, mapping and public hikes.
Today the Nashoba Conservation Trust manages over 400 acres of land and focuses on environmental education; farm, forest, and watershed protection; stewardship of existing land; maintenance of trails and signs; and mapping of parcels and updating trail guides.
