With a mission to preserve the natural landscape, ecological diversity, and scenic beauty of the Town of Clinton by protecting open space and by conserving it for public enjoyment and appreciation of nature, the Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust is managed by a group of dedicated volunteers who love living in Clinton and are working to preserve open space for the enjoyment of all.
Their goals include to practice conservation through stewardship, acquisition of title, conservation easements, and encouragement of other conservation restrictions; to facilitate public access to conserved spaces; to practice land stewardship for conserved spaces; to advocate for conservation land-use planning and to work with other land trusts, government agencies, watershed associations, educational institutions, and other organizations with similar interests.
Among the properties they steward are Rauscher Farm, Counterpane Brook Conservation Area, Wachusett Reservoir Watershed and Nashua River Conservation Area.
