The Bolton Historical Society was founded in 1962 to stimulate and perpetuate an active interest in Bolton history, to disseminate information, and conduct research on subjects pertaining to the town and its residents. Its holdings are on display at the Sawyer House on Main Street, which Mrs. Florence Sawyer, a charter member of the Society, deeded to the group in 1970.
