SUMMARY:Sip and Stitch: Crocheted Coral Creations
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by our new installations by Silvia López Chavez\, we are looking to the intricate patterns and structures of the natural world and creating our own crochet coral reefs! \nBoth in her new mural in the Museum Building and her interactive installation in the Sculpture Park\, Chavez explores the micro and macro patterns that shape the natural world\, from leaves and mushrooms to shells and other aquatic creatures. Many of these intricate natural structures can be modeled using crochet and other fiber art techniques! \nThis beginner friendly workshop will go over basic techniques and stiches needed for the project as well as time to create your own coral reef! All skill levels are welcome! \nAll materials for this project\, including tea for sipping\, will be provided. Advanced registration is required. \nTickets to this workshop include Sculpture Park admission for the day. \nCancellation Policy: In the event The Trustees cancels a program due to severe weather\, low enrollment\, or other circumstances\, we will notify registrants by email and issue a full refund or transfer to another scheduled program within two weeks of the cancellation. To cancel a reservation\, please contact deCordova 7 days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund. Refunds and transfers will not be granted for cancellations placed fewer than 7 days before the start of the program.   \nQuestions?
