We are excited to be collaborating with the Lex250 Commission to mark the semiquincentennial celebration of the Battle of Lexington hosted by the Town of Lexington, Massachusetts. The new 2024-2025 season is the first of two seasons with programs designed to tie into the historical themes of the American Revolutionary War as identified by the Lex250 committee and according to its lecture series. This season also marks the 30th anniversary of the Lexington Symphony, a double celebration!
We hope you’ll join us for our rich, insightful, and illuminating new season! Performances include Lex250 historical themes from Antheil, Ives, Hindemith, Vaughan Williams, Still and Hewitt, exciting world premiere by cellist Mats Lidström, 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and award-winning pianist Clayton Stephenson performing Ravel, our signature Holiday POPS! programs, and two magnificent pieces for Pipa and Orchestra by Cao Yue in collaboration with the Chinese American Association of Lexington. It all adds up to a season you won’t want to miss!
