Come join us and celebrate and afternoon of words, music, art and song as we Stand up for Ellen on the anniversary of her birth at the Concord Armory!
Honoring the 201st birthday of Concord’s native daughter Ellen Garrison, educator and activist. Featuring a behind-the-scenes peek at the new Half the History film, Ellen Garrison, Scene from an Activist’s Life, with producers Jennifer Burton and Julie Dobrow from Tuft’s University, honored Altadena, Calif., community leader Veronica James, inspiring poet Same Williams and special musical guest Shy Kira Allen, star of The Umbrella Art’s recent production of The Color Purple. Free, open to everyone, and suitable for all ages.
