On display in The Umbrella’s Second Floor Gallery from January 18 – February 24, 2024 are selected works by the late photographer and long-time Umbrella Studio Artist Sing Hanson. The exhibition includes an array of subjects and styles from natural attractions and rural landscapes to detailed still life and abstracted object details and more.
Sing Hanson worked out of her Studio at The Umbrella since 2005, participating in a number of exhibitions, artist talks, and Open Studios. Working in photography, printmaking, and book arts, her work has been displayed throughout Greater Boston. She was a long-time resident of Bedford, where she served as a founding Board Member of Bedford Center for the Arts.
Hanson passed away in August of 2023 after a courageous, years-long struggle against Alzheimer’s disease. Proceeds from sales of the artwork on display will go to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
Public Opening Reception: February 1 from 5-6:30PM
