The 22nd Sholan Farms Apple Blossom Festival celebrates the advent of spring in the Central Massachusetts region as evidenced by the blooming of the apple trees. The Festival is a civic celebration organized and operated by the Friends of Sholan Farms. Activities will include crafters, food trucks, butterfly release, scavenger hunt, free wagon rides and Story Walk by Project Apples.
Sholan Farms is open to the public for passive recreation daily from Sunrise to Sunset. The perfect place to take a hike or walk and enjoy this historic apple orchard. We connect to 30 miles of hiking trails in Leominster and Sterling. Sholan Farms is owned by the City of Leominster and operated by the volunteer non-profit organization of Friends of Sholan Farms. Check our website to see how you can volunteer.
Portions of this program will be available to the public as a self guided tour beginning on May 7th and running through the month of May. This will include the story walk.
This program is offered by the Friends of Sholan Farms as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area.
