On display is a diorama of Shirley’s Depot Square with a working model train and the buildings from 100 years ago. There is also a large collection of photos picturing the railroad and surroundings.

The Museum is open for visitors Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

On Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 pm there will be a talk explaining the display.

This program is offered by the Shirley Historical Society, Nashua Valley Railroad Association, and the Community Foundation of North Central Massachusetts as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area.
