These paths along the Nashua River in Clinton have been used by fishermen, animals, and kids for over a century. Last year, walkers enjoyed watching wildlife including beavers, birds, garter snakes, and other small wildlife.
Wear comfortable hiking boots or waterproof boots, long pants to protect against ticks and poison ivy, and layers according to the weather. Join us for a shorter loop or a longer loop along the beautiful Nashua River that runs through Clinton. Allow 1 to 2 hours for the walk. Clinton Greenway Conservation Trust will provide bug spray and light refreshments for after the walk. All are welcome. Difficult terrain for strollers (babes in backpacks work).
TRAIL CONDITIONS: A portion of this walk is on a road accessible to vehicles including electric wheelchairs; however, most of it is up and down, sandy, rocky, wet, or root-covered. It is woodsy conservation land and not well-traveled. There is a shorter loop that is less demanding for those with stamina issues or minor mobility issues. The longer loop has steep uphill and downhill terrain with trails that are not well-traveled.
