RiverFest Summer 2024: Celebrating our local Wild and Scenic Rivers!July 6th – July 28th, 2024

Summer is here! There’s no better time than now to experience the Wild and Scenic Rivers in your own backyard. We invite you to get outside with your family for hikes, paddles, art, and other events at RiverFest Summer 2024, July 6th – July 28th!

RiverFest is the annual celebration of the federally protected Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Wild and Scenic Rivers. This year, it takes place over three-weeks, offering you more opportunities to participate. RiverFest Summer is your opportunity to explore what makes the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Rivers so unique and special!

In the MetroWest area, just a short drive from Boston, events will be hosted on and along the rivers highlighting the historic, recreational, scenic, and ecological values of our Wild and Scenic Rivers. From guided paddles to interpretive walks, educational talks, family-friendly events, and kids’ activities, there is something for everyone, whether young or old, adventuresome or leisurely.

The River Stewardship Council (RSC) was created to promote the protection of the rivers and their resources. The RSC is a partnership of representatives from each of the eight Wild and Scenic River communities, state and federal agencies, and two regional conservation organizations. All of the events and activities of RiverFest Summer are volunteer-led by partner organizations of the RSC.
