Revisiting Arlington’s Cultural Heights: The Creative Communities of Crescent Hill & Arlington Heights in the Early 20th Century

May 21, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

In the late nineteenth century the two hills on either side of Arlington‘s Mill Brook attracted a steady stream of artists, writers, journalists and visionaries. You’ll meet a few of these “creative influencers” and learn their colorful backstories in this presentation by authors Sarah Burks, Doreen Stevens and Aimee Taberner.

This program is offered by Old Schwamb Mill as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures programs are free and open to the public. Click to discover more Hidden Treasures!
