The Dawn Tribute is a moving and public ceremony designed more recently to commemorate the Revolutionary Patriots buried next to Bemis Hall. The Dawn Tribute is a brief but dramatic ceremony. As the Patriot roll is called, soldiers reply from the graveyard and come join the ranks. A fifer plays a lament; a soldier fires a commemorative volley. The Company then begins its march to Concord, stopping along the way at Dakin Field for another memorial fifers’ lament and musket volley.
