This guided walk is about 1 mile along the North Dike to the Wachusett Dam in Clinton. This open hillside walk along the Wachusett Reservoir offers interesting views overlooking the 65 billion gallon reservoir. Points of interest will feature the history of the construction of this water supply that provides drinking water for over 3 million people.

Once you reach the dam, take some time to explore the area and return on your own. The walkway across the dam will be open for walking at 2:00 pm.

LOCATION: Wachusett Reservoir Gate 39, Intersection of South Meadow Road and Route 110, Clinton, MA 01510

PARKING: Overflow parking is available at Clinton High School

ACCESSIBILITY: Two mile round trip walk on uneven natural surface.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands. Heavy rain cancels.
