The Lancaster Town Library was originally a memorial built for Lancaster residents who died during the Civil War. Everyone in town knows the building. Many know little of the people who served and the battles they fought.
Thayer Memorial Library Director, Joe Mulé, will discuss Lancaster’s involvement in the Civil War.
All Lancaster History Month events will take place in the Dexter Room at Thayer Memorial Library, located at 717 Main Street, Lancaster. Patrons are welcome to use the handicap parking spaces both in front of and behind the library. Each room of the building is ADA compliant; we have an elevator and automatic doors.
This program is offered by Thayer Memorial Library as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. Hidden Treasures programs are free and open to the public. Click to discover more Hidden Treasures!
