Lancaster History Month: Lancaster in 1775

Join local historian Amy Brown as she discusses what life was like and what people were doing in Lancaster in 1775 as simmering tensions between the Colonies and England evolved into outright war. Were Lancastrians involved in the events leading up to the Revolution? Find out what mattered to Lancastrians during this important year in our history.

PARKING: Library patrons are encouraged to park in the large lot behind the building.

ACCESSIBILITY: Patrons are welcome to use the handicap parking spaces both in front of and behind the library. Each room of the building is ADA compliant; we have an elevator and automatic doors.

 

This program is offered by Thayer Memorial Library as part of the Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History, an annual month-long celebration showcasing events and activities hosted by local partners celebrating the unique places, objects, and stories of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area.
