The Iron Work Farm’s two historic South Acton house museums will be open for visitors.
The 1732 Jones Tavern, 128 Main Street, open from 1 to 3:00 p.m., was the home of several generations of the Samuel Jones family, who operated local mills and businesses, including a 1750 tavern and store.
The 1707 Jones/Faulkner Homestead at 5 High Street, the oldest building in Acton, will be open from 3 to 5:00 p.m. For nearly 200 years it was the home of the owners of the mills that operated across the street at the dam on Fort Pond Brook.
