The older portion of the Shawsheen Cemetery, founded in 1849, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is an example of the Rural Cemetery Movement. A guided walking tour of this beautiful cemetery will relate its history and how it came to be a Bedford treasure. Sponsored by the Bedford Historic Preservation Commission.
Registration is not required but those who send an email message to hpc@bedfordma.gov at least a day in advance will receive a notification in the event of delay or cancellation.

PARKING: Park in the cemetery but please stay off the grass and do not block the roadway.
ACCESS: The walking tour will take place on paved surfaces.
