An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until May 29, 2022
The Historical Piano Concerts series is built on the Frederick Collection of Historical Grand Pianos by major makers in Vienna, Paris and Leipzig, ca. 1790-1928. The concerts’ 36th spring season will feature three solo piano programs, and one concert each, of piano with violin, with tenor voice, and with clarinet, performed by nationally / internationally distinguished musicians. Each concert showcases one restored original piano in the Frederick Collection, in music closely related to that piano’s time and place.

During the pandemic, we will ask to see vaccination certificates, including booster shots, and require all attendees to be masked. If indoor gatherings are restricted or prohibited, the musicians will still play their programs; we will make videos of all concerts, with or without live audiences, and post the videos on our YouTube channel, Music from the Frederick Collection, where, with last fall’s concerts, they can be enjoyed at no charge.
